Note: this is a series of workshops taking place between October and November, both online and across Scotland. Follow the link for time and locations of each workshop.

The Scottish Government is currently consulting on a new Agriculture Bill. The Bill will consider the shape of our new farming subsidy system.

The Government is keen to hear from many people in Scotland on how we best use this budget to deliver not just good food but also advance our environmental, health and wellbeing priorities.

In this workshop you will:

  • learn about the Government proposals for agriculture in Scotland
  • work together to explore the links between farming, nature, climate, public health, local economy and community wellbeing
  • consider how the new farm subsidy system could support positive change across these areas
  • discuss what just transition might look like in this sector

This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in food. No prior knowledge of agriculture or public policy is necessary. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
