Event Details

The Ecology Centre in Kinghorn is hosting an FCCAN networking event to share the exciting marine restoration activities that are taking place in the Forth and to give attendees an opportunity to meet, discuss and share their own stories.

What will happen during the event?

You will hear more about the Centre’s collaboration with the Restoration Forth project, which is a major marine restoration programme, working with communities to restore seagrass habitats and native oyster populations in the Firth of Forth.

There may also be an opportunity to sort seagrass seeds, which will later be sown in the Forth to germinate into young seagrass plants.

By attending this networking event you will be able to connect with other community groups and be inspired to undertake conservation and restoration activities in your local area.

Please note spaces are limited so booking is required.

Travel/accessibility notes:

The Ecology Centre is an accessible charity, where the building has been designed to accommodate the needs of less able bodied persons. There are no ramps or staircases in the building and there is disabled parking on site, along with several car parking spaces. However, anyone attending is encouraged to consider car sharing to ensure there are enough car parking spaces for everyone. There is public transport available to Kinghorn (train, No 7 bus) however please note that the walk from the bus station or the train station can be quite a challenging walk with some uphill sections.
