This FCCAN networking event will look at how sharing and re-use of household goods are helping to reduce consumption within the community and university of St Andrews through the work of StAndEN and Transition University St Andrews.
What will we do during the event? What will we learn?
We will visit the Transition Re-use warehouse to see how £10,000’s worth of household goods are re-used within the University and Community every year.
We will then visit the StAndEN Hub to look at how sharing and bulk purchasing can reduce waste before a discussion on how communities can develop sharing as a route to supporting people, place and planet.
Attendees will learn about the practicalities of running volunteer led re-use and sharing programmes as well as explore opportunities for developing their own schemes.
