What is this event about?

Research shows that most people are concerned about the climate and nature crises, believe action is important and that they want to help. So why is it so hard to get people involved in community climate action projects?

In this training you will discover how to design your project to pass three essential tests: 1) Does it connect with people emotionally? 2) Does it fit with people’s ideas of what makes sense? 3) Is it actually do-able with their skills, resources etc?

Who is delivering the training?

The training is based on Shifting Normal, the guide to designing community climate action projects, written by the trainer, Osbert Lancaster, for the Scottish Government.

Osbert has supported people and groups leading community climate action for over twenty years, and is a former member of the Climate Challenge Fund grants panel. He is director of Realise Earth and host of the Leadership for Sustainability podcast.

Please note spaces are limited so booking is required.
