We’re delighted to be joined by ethical investment expert and founder of the Carbon Tracker Initiative, Mark Campanale, to discuss how our investments can be a key part of building a more sustainable future for both people and the planet.

As the climate and energy crises intensify, it is becoming ever more urgent that we transition away from fossil fuels towards a future powered by renewable energy. Scottish council pension fund investments in coal, oil and gas companies are currently leading to injustice and pollution for communities around the world.

Mark Campanale will share how these investments could be moved to ethical alternatives that will protect pensions and benefit communities here in Scotland and around the world.

We’ll also find out how our pensions can help tackle the climate crisis and how the global fossil fuel divestment movement is taking on the world’s biggest polluters.

The event will be hosted by Friends of the Earth Scotland, and we’ll be joined by UNISON and Divest Strathclyde for a panel discussion.

The event is free and everyone is welcome!

Teas, coffees and biscuits will be available.
