We are delighted to be joined for this inaugural Iona Lecture by Alison Phipps, UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Language and the Arts, Tawona Sitholé, Gameli Tordzro, Naa Densua Tordzro, Hyab Yohannes and Hannah Thomas.
Through this annual lecture the Iona Community brings to public notice the voices of people from across the globe who connect faith with action. This reflects our conviction that ‘the radical, inclusive community we seek must be embodied in the community we practice.’
You can find out more about our work and witness, and join the Iona Community, here.
Alison Phipps is a Member of the Iona Community, Professor of Languages and Intercultural Studies, and UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts (RILA) at the University of Glasgow. Alison works closely with colleagues from the global south regularly bringing a multitude of voices together on issues of key concern and weaving in the arts in all ways, weaving theological and spiritual threads through the programme.
