In Germany, concerned citizens step forward to save an ancient forest from one of Europe’s largest coal mines. They form an unlikely alliance with a frustrated community in rural England who are forced into action to protect their homes from a new opencast coal mine. The film stands as a raw, authentic and emotional insight into the fierce David and Goliath battle between frontline communities, activists, and fossil fuel corporations. Directed by Rich Felgate, UK, 99 mins.  In English and German with English subtitles. This film is rated 12A. About the filmmaker: Rich is a climate activist turned filmmaker. In the making of FINITE, Rich spent a year and a half living in protest camps in the UK and Germany with the communities featured in the film. His footage has been used by BBC, CNN, Sky, ARTE, The Washington Post, Channel 4, ITV, The Guardian and more.   Montrose LandxSea Film Fest is Scotland’s premier event for films & discussions that spark green ideas and actions.
