What this training session is for:

On Tuesday 26 April, Scotland comes together to demand a better food future, as the Good Food Nation Bill edges closer to being passed into law.

The Good Food Nation Bill, currently being debated by MSPs, represents a unique opportunity for Scotland to lead the way in adopting new legislation that is founded on the right to food, ensuring the food system contributes to everyone’s health and wellbeing, values the work to put food on our plates and supports high animal welfare whilst sustaining our wildlife, natural resources and environment for generations to come.

But there is a risk that the law won’t go far enough. For example, that it won’t do enough to realise the right to food, or that it may fail to include clear targets or monitoring responsibilities.

Now is a crucial time to ensure our collective voice is given more power in our food system, by enabling this new legislation to set the direction of travel towards a fair, healthy and sustainable food system

Everyone in Scotland should have their say on the Good Food Nation Bill can be improved. Want to know more about how you can help make this a reality? Join the Scottish Food Coalition for this free online training session. Alongside valuable tips on how to address your MSPs to make your voice heard, it will provide an overview of latest progress and how your own knowledge of the food system fits into the wider campaign.

With your support, Scotland can lead the way in building a food system that places climate, nature, health and social justice at its heart.
