Event Details

Are you curious about the impact of your choices, and how you might live a little lighter?

In this session we will look at how we may have more options with regards to reducing carbon emissions than we realise. In a friendly, curious, and mindful way we will explore travel, food and the other ‘stuff’ we spend our money on, and how to be kind to ourselves as we navigate tricky changes. No blame and shame, but a safe space to see with clear eyes where we can exercise our freedom of choice.

We will look at mindfulness, some brief information about carbon reduction, and share experience and reflections, in a supportive and non-judgmental context with an experienced facilitator who is in the same boat and wrestling with the same questions.

Who is the event for? What will I get from the event?

People who would like their communities to explore different ways to approach reducing carbon emissions, through an exploration of circular economy benefits, resource sharing and mindfulness will benefit from this workshop. It is an introduction to the topic which you may want to explore further in future but you will also immediately learn some useful approaches to take back with you to your community group or organisation.

Structure and timing of the session

This two hour online session has a short comfort break in the middle and will involve activities in small groups and in plenary. Please bring pen and paper… and your curiosity!

Who is delivering the session?

The session facilitator, Pam Candea, from The Surefoot Effect CIC, has been working to promote a sustainable and resilient society actively since returning to that cherished ambition after a career in the commercial world in 2007.
