The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and the local government associations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and our European and international membership bodies CEMR and UCLG, together with ICLEI are holding this policy dialogue on the Cities and Regions Day of COP26 to advance for the recognition of subnational governments to net zero climate action. Local and Regional Governments have a key role in the design and delivery of national net zero plans. A selection of senior local elected members from all over the world will discuss their plans and aspirations for the outcome of the COP26 summit.
