To celebrate the opening of Making Space | Photographs of Architecture exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery this online and in person event features artist-historian Sylvia Grace Borda speaking about Scotland’s first two New Towns, East Kilbride and Glenrothes, and how they were designed with goals of sustainability from their establishment, considered as a contemporary baseline for achieving liveable towns and cities.
