This online workshop will take place in response to the online performance of Can I Live? by Fehinti Balogun.

This workshop is a safe space dedicated to people of the Global Majority. If you do not identify with the above, we kindly ask that you do not book onto this session in order to maintain a safe space for those the session is intended for, and instead join here for our ‘Online Discussions’ which are open to everyone.

What’s it all about?
Join our online, interactive, post-show workshop to learn more about the climate movement. Whether you are new to the climate conversation or have been involved and are looking for your next steps, join these workshops to hear each other’s stories and share your own. Each week, we will be joined by a guest speaker involved in climate activism, who will be sharing their own journey and experiences, and inspiring ways to get involved.

This event is taking place online through Zoom. Simply sign up here by booking a free ticket and a link with joining instructions will be emailed out to you on the morning of the event. Zahrah is a writer, visual artist and creative facilitator working with themes of nature, environment and community connection.

About the Guest speaker: Anjum Nahar

Anjum Nahar is an activist, campaigner and writer based in Cambridge, UK. She has worked on multiple campaigns related to climate and migrant justice within the student movement. She has recently completed a dissertation on petro-violence in the Niger Delta and is currently a sabbatical officer at Cambridge SU.

Anjum has recently worked with student campaigning group People & Planet, the largest student network in the UK campaigning for social and environmental justice.
