Postcards To Our Future Edinburgh

Are you feeling frustrated at the lack of urgent action on climate change from our leaders? Join young leaders from 2050 Climate Group for a craftivism workshop, where we will help you to create your vision for a climate friendly Edinburgh, to be shared on a postcard to send to your MSP, Councillor or local leader. 

Not crafty or have never written to a politician before? Don’t worry! We’ll provide you with all the tools you need and some inspiration (if you need it), as well as the relevant contact details of the local leaders you can address your postcard to. Your postcard can be a drawing, collage, painting, quote, or simply use one of our templates….whatever captures your vision for the future of our city. 

Drop-in between 11am and 3pm on Saturday 25th March to create your postcard with your vision for a climate friendly city and a message to the most relevant local leader. We will then collect all the postcards and post them to leaders across the city on your behalf. 

Free refreshments will be available to everyone who takes part. Hot food is also available to purchase at the Fruitmarket Cafe.
