A half-day session in the morning, hosted online, will explore the gap between the rhetoric around walking and active travel, and the lived reality of walking in Scotland.
Keynote speakers from the health and disabilities sectors, transport experts and local government leaders will come together to ask hard questions about the big shifts needed to deliver change and make walking a pleasant and viable everyday activity for everyone.
In the afternoon, ‘walk and talks’ will begin at Waverley, Stirling and Inverness train stations.
