Fair Trade Campaigner Conference
After a couple of years of restrictions, we-re inviting Scotland’s Fair Trade campaigners to come together face-to-face to celebrate what’s been achieved and to look forward at the future of Fair Trade campaigning in Scotland.
We look forward to welcoming:
– Neil Gray MSP, Minister for International Development
– Peter Heggie, Depute Provost, West Lothian Council
– Peter Fowell and the Linlithgow Fairtrade Partnership
– A representative from the Fairtrade Foundation’s Community Award scheme
– Aileen Burmeister of Fair Trade Wales
– Tabitha Nyariki, Race and Equality Charter Project Officer at Glasgow Caledonian University
– Japhet Habimana, Cocagi Co-operative in Rwanda (pre-recorded message and hopefully live Q&A) about the challenge of climate change, and the support of Fairtrade and partnerships
– And yourselves, Scotland’s Fair Trade campaigners and communities
Registration is free but donations are welcome, and can be made when you register for a ticket.
Fair Trade morning tea & coffee and treats, and lunch will be provided by the local Crannog Cafe.
Thank you to the three local schools and Guides who have been working on our Fairtrade cotton bunting which will be displayed on the day.
A big thank you to Koolskools for sponsoring the event.
