One-day introduction to seaweed foraging with Jayson Byles, of East Neuk Seaweed. A morning of foraging on the seashore followed by a cooking demonstration at the Community Garden.
There is no charge for the day, but please bring food to share and donations to PLANT will be very welcome.
NOTE: We will meet at the Community Garden (end of Pond Lane) 9:30am and walk to the shore for a forage. Please park your cars in Elizabeth Street – no parking or drop off available at the Garden Gate.
Jayson, originally from New Zealand, has been teaching people in Scotland about the welath of tasty, nutritious food that surrounds us (especially if we live on the coast) and that we routinely ignore. Jayson knows what is good to eat, how and when to harvest it and also how to cook it.
