Event Details

Three brilliant speakers will dive into the world of sustainable agriculture and take a look at its impact in the North East of Scotland.

This event is especially for Climate Week North East 2022. The Climate Cafe is a monthly event organised by Aberdeen Climate Action. Each month focuses on a different topic related to climate action, research and solutions.

The three speakers and their talks for this month’s additional Climate Cafe for CWNE22 are:
– Lorna Paterson, North East Regional Manager, National Farmers’ Union Scotland – Scottish Farming: A Major Player in Climate Change Mitigation
– Nikki Yoxall, Grampian Graziers/Pastures for Life – Agroecology in Aberdeenshire – The farm as an ecosystem to nourish local people
– David McKay, Auchmill Organics/Soil Association – Small scale fruit and veg growing in Aberdeenshire

In order to get to net zero emissions, agriculture across the globe will have to change, and that includes the North East of Scotland. Indeed it’s already changing. Come hear from people at the cutting edge of that change.
