Books have a unique ability to inspire and inform, and in the midst of a climate emergency have become a more crucial tool than ever for communicating climate issues on both global and local levels, taking us to places we’ve never been and sharing stories by people we would otherwise never meet.
With six times more water than land, Scotland has an enduring interconnection between inhabitants of its land and sea, and arguably every community in Scotland is a coastal one. What challenges does our ocean face amidst the climate crisis? What ones trickle onto the land and what continues to go unseen offshore and underwater?
Join The Nature Library at the Ullapool Ferry Terminal for a weekend of stories on coastal communities, underwater communities, and the interconnections between the two.
Full schedule of guests TBA.
