Transition Alive: Alive to the Transition we want

March 12th, 2024

Artist, theatre-makers and writer Lucy Neal will
be our guide for this creative and interactive workshop as together we
explore the Transition – and the Movement – we want as we look to the
future. How do we build on all we’ve learnt and experienced since our
foundation and renew a sense of shared vision and purpose as we look
ahead to our 20th year and beyond?

Lucy is an artist, writer and co-director of Walking Forest, a ten-year
public art work inspired by forest ecology and the undertold stories of
women Earth-defenders. A theatre-maker at heart, she was co-founder
director of the LIFT Festival (1981-2005) and enjoys creating space for
stories that act as a catalyst for change. She has been active in the
Transition movement since 2008 and was co-founder of Transition Town
Tooting. She is author of Playing for Time – Making Art As If the World
Mattered. Now in its 2nd edition, the book maps an aesthetics of care
responding to an Earth in crisis.

Part of our Spring Series – Transition Alive! An invitation to explore
the challenge of our time, the potential of our Movement and a renewed,
shared vision for our future. Join us at our other events:
