Join Leith Community Growers for a community weekend at the Leith Links Children’s Orchard on the 12th and 13th of August.
There will be other activties alongside this tree pruning workshop such
as a community build with the Edinburgh Tool Library, litter picking
and unticketed “Exploring the orchard” drop-in sessions on Sun, the 13th
of August at 12, 2 and 3pm (involving a little wildlife/ecology survey
with wildflower seed harvesting, foraging and urban ecologies chats).
For the Tree Pruning Workshop we
will be joined by Ben from the Royal Botanical Gardens who will show us
how to keep the trees in good shape and to encourage them to keep
producing lots of fruit.
Everyone will have a chance to get
involved however we only have a limited number of tree secateurs so if
you have any then please bring along your own!
Families and children welcome
