Event Details

Find out about the risk facing the energy transition in Scotland. Transition materials are vital but current practices are not compatible with ethical values.

Friends of the Earth Scotland have recently published a report ‘Unearthing Injustice‘ which explains the challenges we face in the supply chains of the energy transition. Sourcing rare minerals is resulting in human rights abuses, environmental damage, and climate injustices. Kim Pratt from Friends of the Earth will talk through the report findings, along with their recommendations for a fairer and greener approach through demand reduction and global just transition strategies.
