Following in the footsteps of France’s 19th century mushroom cultivation pioneers in the catacombs of Paris, Friends of Dalry Cemetery and Rhyze Mushrooms invite you the opening of our community mushroom growing space, housed in an unused crypt.
For the last two months Friends of Dalry Cemetery and Rhyze Mushrooms have been working together to transform an unused crypt into a mushroom grow space for the Dalry community. The cemetery is the only communal green space in the area. Rhyze facilitated sessions on different kinds of mushroom cultivation using waste streams, logs, outdoor beds, as well as mycological lab techniques. Come check out the fruits of our labour.
