Expressing your Hopes and Fears about the climate and nature crises.
Would you like to find ways of expressing your Hopes and Fears about climate change through creative writing?
Do you have things you want to say about the threats to nature but can’t find the words to put them on the page?
Are you inspired by trees, animals and plants and like express this in poetry, prose or other forms of writing?
Would you like to be part of a creative community of hopeful resistance?
This FREE Workshop is led by Tim Cowen, who when not being manager of Woodlands Community is a writer, poet and performer.
A long standing campaigner on social and environmental justice, Tim writes stories, poems and comedy.
Tim’s novel Banquet of the Beasts is a ‘truly orginal story which mixes politics, fantasy and wonderful descriptions of the natural world.’
No previous writing experience is necessary for this fun and interactive writing workshop. Weather permitting we’ll be writing both in our community garden and meeting room, so bring some suitable outdoor clothing as well as pen and paper.
The event is part of Climate Futures our Climate and Nature project for children & young people, funded by the Ovo Foundation.
